Do I need a domain to get business email?
Yes — the address is built from it. Register a domain with us during checkout, or transfer one you already own. If your domain is with another registrar you can keep it there and point its MX records at us instead.
Can I move my existing mailboxes across?
Yes. Most providers let you export your mail, and any IMAP client can copy old mail into the new mailbox by dragging folders across. Tell us what you are moving from and we will do it with you rather than leave you to it.
What happens to mail sent to an address I have not created?
It is rejected at the door, so the sender knows immediately instead of it disappearing. If you would rather everything reached one inbox, set up an alias.
Is there a limit on how much mail I can send?
There are per-mailbox rate limits, which exist to stop a compromised password turning your domain into a spam source. They are far above normal business use — if you are running campaigns, that is a mailing list product, not a mailbox, and we will point you at the right one.
What if I need more space in one mailbox?
Each mailbox can go up to the per-mailbox allowance on your plan — 5 GB on Starter and Growth, 10 GB on Business. You can set an individual mailbox lower than that, but going above it means moving up a plan, which you can do from the dashboard at any time.
Who can read my mail?
Your mail sits on our servers so that it can be delivered and searched, which means we can technically access it — the same as with any hosted provider. We do not, except when you ask us to help with something specific. Connections are encrypted, and access to the servers is limited to the people who run them.
