1. Registration and Registrant of Record
Domains registered through SEVA are registered with the Client as the registrant of record, the legal owner of the domain. SEVA acts as reseller of record through its registrar partner, an ICANN-accredited domain registrar.
SEVA manages day-to-day domain operations on the Client's behalf, including DNS configuration, renewal processing, and transfer authorization codes, as part of the Services.
SEVA will make transfer authorization codes available to the Client upon request, consistent with Section 4 (Domain Transfers and EPP Codes) of this Policy.
2. Fees, Renewal, and Auto-Renewal
2.1 Fees
Domain registration and renewal fees are set out at the time of registration or renewal. Fees may include charges passed through from the registry or registrar for the applicable top-level domain, in addition to SEVA's service fee.
2.2 Auto-Renewal
Domains are enrolled in automatic renewal by default, to prevent unintended loss of a domain due to a missed renewal date. The Client may disable automatic renewal for any domain at any time through the client portal.
2.3 Price Changes
Domain renewal fees are charged at the then-current rate at the time of renewal, and may differ from the original registration fee, including where the applicable registry or registrar changes its own pricing. This is in addition to the general notice requirements described in Section 4.4 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
2.4 Grace Periods and Redemption
Following expiration, a domain may enter a grace or redemption period before it becomes available for registration by a third party. The length of this period, and whether it exists at all, is determined by the applicable registry and varies by top-level domain. SEVA does not guarantee a uniform grace period across all domains.
2.5 No Refunds
Domain registration and renewal fees are non-refundable, including for cancellations or deletions made during any grace or redemption period, consistent with Section 4.5 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
3. WHOIS/RDAP Accuracy and Privacy
3.1 Accurate Registration Information
The Client is responsible for providing and maintaining accurate, current, and complete registrant contact information for each domain, consistent with ICANN's WHOIS Accuracy requirements. The Client agrees to promptly update this information if it changes.
If a registry or registrar requests verification of registrant contact information and the Client does not respond within the time required, the domain may be suspended or the registration may be affected, consistent with the applicable registry's policy.
3.2 Privacy Protection
SEVA includes WHOIS/RDAP privacy protection at no additional cost, where available for the applicable top-level domain. Some registries do not permit privacy protection, or automatically apply their own privacy protections, consistent with that registry's policy. Where privacy protection is applied, the Client's registrant information is replaced with proxy contact details in the public WHOIS/RDAP record; SEVA's registrar partner retains the Client's underlying information and may disclose it as required by ICANN policy, court order, or applicable law.
4. Domain Transfers and EPP Codes
4.1 Transfer Authorization Codes
The Client may request the transfer authorization code (EPP code) for any domain registered through SEVA at any time. SEVA will provide the code to the Client within 5 calendar days of a valid request, consistent with the obligations of SEVA's registrar partner.
4.2 Transfer Lock
A domain may not be transferred to another registrar within 60 days of its initial registration or a previous transfer, consistent with ICANN policy. This restriction is imposed by the applicable registry, not by SEVA.
4.3 Transfers of Expired Domains
A domain that has expired cannot be transferred to another registrar until it has been renewed and that renewal has fully processed. SEVA does not control this restriction; it is imposed by the applicable registry.
4.4 No Restriction on Client-Initiated Transfers
SEVA does not restrict, delay, or condition a Client's request to transfer a domain away from SEVA's registrar partner, beyond what is required by the transfer lock described in Section 4.2 or applicable registry policy.
5. Expiration and Non-Renewal
5.1 Consequences of Non-Renewal
If a domain is not renewed before its expiration date, the Client's rights in that domain cease upon expiration, subject to any grace or redemption period available for the applicable top- level domain, as described in Section 2.4.
5.2 Notice
SEVA will provide expiration notices consistent with Section 4.4 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
The Client is responsible for maintaining current contact information to receive these notices, consistent with Section 3.1 of this Policy.
5.3 No Monetization of Expired Domains
SEVA does not display advertising, sell, or otherwise monetize a domain following its expiration. A domain that lapses without renewal is treated according to the applicable registry's expiration and redemption policies, consistent with Section 2.4 of this Policy.
5.4 Client Responsibility
The Client is solely responsible for tracking domain expiration dates and renewing domains it wishes to keep. SEVA's provision of notices under Section 5.2 does not shift this responsibility to SEVA.
6. UDRP and Dispute Resolution
6.1 Trademark and Domain Disputes
Disputes regarding the registration or use of a domain, including allegations that a domain infringes a third party's trademark rights, are governed by ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("UDRP") and, where applicable, the Uniform Rapid Suspension System ("URS"), not by the arbitration provisions of Section 12 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
6.2 SEVA's Role
If a domain registered through SEVA becomes the subject of a UDRP or URS proceeding, SEVA will cooperate with the process as required by its registrar partner's obligations to ICANN, including complying with any order to lock, suspend, or transfer the domain as a result of that proceeding. SEVA is not a party to the underlying dispute and takes no position on its merits.
7. General Provisions
This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of SEVA's Terms of Service, as described in Section 4.5 of those Terms. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Service.
This Policy governs domain registration services only. Hosting and mailbox services are governed by Section 8.4 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification provisions of the Terms of Service apply equally to any matter arising under this Policy. Disputes arising under this Policy are resolved as described in Section 6 (UDRP and Dispute Resolution) of this Policy, or, where Section 6 does not apply, Section 12 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution) of the Terms of Service.
SEVA may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated consistent with Section 13 of SEVA's Terms of Service.
